Best of Beauty 2016

I can't believe it's already the end of 2016! Where did time go?! This year I've accumulated more beauty products than I could have ever imagined. My acrylic cosmetic containers that I keep on my bathroom vanity have overfilled despite adding new boxes/drawers to it multiple times this year. I only keep my most current and used products in it too! (You should see my what's under my sink and in my cabinets...definitely need to declutter soon!). I don't know how much bigger I can make it before it just takes up my entire bathroom. This year I've tried many new products, found new holy grails, changed and added to my beauty/skincare routine. I wanted to share with you my favorite products I've been using the most this past year. Some of these are new this year, some are rediscovered and some are favorites I've used for years. Most of these I use every day in my beauty routine...
Makeup:
Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Powder Duo - this has changed my life! My brows are naturally fuller and a little darker than my hair color, so I only need minimal product to fill in sparse areas and make them even (wish I could have learned this years ago)... Using this product creates such a natural look! I don't think I'll ever go back to using a brow pencil. I use the shade Taupe and apply it with this brush.

Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipsticks - these are my ride or die lipsticks. My absolute favorite everyday shade is Pepper. I actually used the entire lipstick and just repurchased another one last month, which is so unlike me because I've never been able to finish any lipstick for some reason even though I wear lipstick everyday.  These are the most creamy, comfortable, and pigmented lipsticks. My other favorite shades are Rhubarb, Gazpacho, Beetroot, Fig, & Chai. Thank you Influenster for sending me some of these lipsticks when they first launched, one of the best boxes I've ever received! Read my full review on these lipsticks here.

L'oreal Infallible Pro-Glow Foundation - one of the best full-coverage & long-lasting drugstore foundations I've tried! I've used the Pro-Matte Foundation for the most of this year, which is an amazing matte foundation for oily skin, but I've found my skin has been drier this year than normal and all of my matte foundations haven't looked best on my skin. I switched a couple months ago to the Pro-Glow foundation and love it's finish on my skin. It doesn't cling to my dry spots as much and gives me that healthy glow. I have to admit I've been suprised that I've used these two foundations this much this past year considering I have many high-end foundations in my collection that have really been untouched. I think that just shows how great they are! Love a great drugstore find. I highly recommend trying these two foundations out if you haven't already.

Bite Beauty Agave Lip Mask - if I was stranded on an island and you told me I could only bring one  product, I would bring this, no doubt! I've used the Clear and Smashed shades interchangeably everyday this past year (and even the past couple years!). This is the most moisturizing (& thickest) thing I've ever put on my lips, no other lip product I've tried compares, and I keep a tube on me at all times. It lasts SO long too! It takes forever to use the entire tube (0.52 oz), so it's so worth the $26 to keep your lips moisturized, smooth & healthy. I cannot rave about this product enough. I'm so excited because Sephora recently launched two new additions to this line, the Agave Lip Balm ($18 for 0.15 oz) and Agave Lip Scrub ($18 for 0.26 oz). I cannot wait to purchase both of these once January 1st hits (so I can start accumulating points for the next calendar year).

NARS Velvet Lip Glide - my favorite two shades are Bound and Unspeakable. I love that it's a hybrid of a lipstick and lipgloss. Read my review on these here!

Skincare:
Sunday Riley U.F.O. Ultra-Clarifying Face Oil - one of my new favorite products I've added into my nighttime skincare routine. Sunday Riley is one of my favorite skincare brands and I love that she created a product that's focused on preventing and treating acne-prone skin. I love any skincare product with Tea Tree Oil in it. My skin has definitely cleared up after using this for a couple months and I can't wait to see the long-term results. It's worth the splurge!

GLAMGLOW SUPERMUD Clearing Treatment - I've loved this face mask for years now. It's amazing for acne-prone skin. I love the SUPERCLEANSE too. All of GLAMGLOW's products are truly amazing. Check out this value set offered at Sephora right now!

Hair:
Schwarzkopf BC Hairtherapy Repair Rescue Sealed Ends - I've used this everday for years! My favorite leave-in hair treatment after I get out of the shower and before blow drying my hair. Nothing has made my hair so soft, silky and healthy. It really does mend my split ends like it claims. It's the only hair product that doesn't weigh my fine straight hair down. I also love the shampoo and conditioner of this same line. This used to be sold at Ulta but just recently I saw that it's been removed from the website and most of their Bonacure BC line is on sale. I really hope they don't discontinue this product because I don't know what I would do without it! I found it online at Walgreens and Amazon though so hopefully its available in the future.

Nails:
Essie Nail Polish in Plumberry - I've worn this shade all year long! It' s my absolute favorite. I've gone through so many bottles. It's the perfect berry red with hints of pink. I get so many compliments on this color. I've actually always painted my own nails, since I usually don't have time to go get them done at the salon. I've found that using it with this clear gel polish as a base, inter and top coat works amazing to keep my polish on for a good 14 days. Would definitely recommend!

Subscription Boxes:
Sephora Play Box Subscription - this is my only monthly box subscription I now pay for (I cancelled Allure's beauty box after a couple months) and I've been so pleased every month with the products. I love that the brand quality is consistent every month and that it's only $10 per month. You can sign up here!

Influenster - if you haven't signed up for this FREE product review program, stop what you're doing and sign up here now! This has been one of the best choices I've made in 2016 and I've received so many new and great products from them to try and review.

Want more? Check out my Jaclyn Hill Ride or Die Makeup Tag post from this past August. Most of my HG products haven't changed!

AHH the Bite Beauty Lip Mask has been on my wish list for forever - now I feel like I NEED to buy it! I also still haven't tried the Nars Lip Glides - but I think Bound is going to be my first makeup purchase of 2017! Great post!
