As some of you already know, I won the NARS Sarah Moon Holiday Collaborator Sweepstakes that was on Instagram this past March. Today I received the entire "Color Collection" in the mail!! I'm so excited to share photos and swatches of all of these amazing new products and review them for everyone! Please check my blog and Instagram everyday this week for updates on this new collection!

I'll never forget when I was walking to class and received an Instagram DM from NARS saying that I was the winner of the sweepstakes! I was in complete shock and still am. NARS is seriously my favorite beauty brand and I'm so appreciative of them sending me this Sarah Moon Color Collection.

Details about the collection from NARS:
"Francois Nars and fashion photographer Sarah Moon, deeply inspired by iconic cinema, collectively worked from the nostalgic futurism of Metropolis to set the mood for the season's story. Every element of the collection blurs the lines between real and surreal, serving as a direct expression of their collaborative vision. The limited edition Color Collection is rich and hypnotic, sharpens and softens, evokes and provokes."

These blushes are beautiful! SO pigmented. I would say if you like NARS Orgasm blush and want another everyday natural blush but with more pigment so basically a step up, Isadora will be your favorite. (NARS Orgasm is more sheer and lighter peachy pink than Isadora by the way). Or if you like NARS Dolce Vita blush you would probably like NARS Isadora. Impudique is a bright medium pink (like BAM!), so if you're looking for a blush that stands out more, that's a great choice. It's way too bright pink for my lighter skin tone but I could see it being a beautiful shade on a darker skin tone. Impudique was harder for me to blend out, maybe because I accidentally applied way too much on my brush thinking it wasn't as pigmented, so you only need the smallest amount on your brush for the color to show up that's for sure! Impudique kind of reminds me of BECCA Pamplemousse mineral blush, so if you like that shade I'm sure you would like NARS Impudique. I would say the quality of these limited edition blushes is consistent with the quality of their regular collection.

If you want a cool-toned metallic smoky eye, these duo eyeshadows are for you! Personally, I don't think I look good in cool-toned eyeshadows but I do love the warmer matte mulberry color in Indes Galantes. I'm excited to try a look using all four of them and hopefully it doesn't end up looking like I have a black eye LOL. These can be applied dry or wet for more intensity. I would say these  limited edition eyeshadows are mostly comparable in quality to their regular collection, with an exception of the matte grey shade in Quai Des Brumes. The pigment of this shade seemed to be a little off, inconsistent and less blendable compared to the rest of the shades.

Hello bold red lipstick lovers!! This limited edition collection features THREE  similar matte lipstick shades, so this is your heaven! Now they are all a little different but overall I would say that you don't need all three. Maybe just pick one depending on which undertone you like best. It was hard to show the true difference in my swatches above so I apologize. Fearless Red is a little more dull compared to the other two brighter shades. Rouge Improbable had more of a bright pink underdone. Rouge Indiscret and Rouge Improbable are the most similar out of all of them. Next time I want to wear a bold red, I'll definitely be reaching for one of these three lipsticks. But if you're looking for nude, they've got you covered with Indecent Proposal! On my lips you can see its more of a darker mauve nude than a pink nude but honestly in different lighting it could be any shade of nude. If you're on the fence with this shade, I would definitely recommend trying it on in the store once available because depending on your natural lip color, the outcome of this lipstick shade could vary a lot.  As for the quality, these are pigmented, long wearing (lasted over 5 hours through garlic knots and pizza), not that creamy but not that drying. They are soft-matte powders filled with Hyaluronic Acid and Vitamin E to add hydration to the lips.  The consistency is harder and doesn't apply as smoothly as a creamier lipstick, but its still bendable. Overall I would recommend these limited edition matte lipsticks!

These eyeliners are SO SMOOTH and pigmented!! I'm in love with Sichuan (a rust brown). It reminds me a lot of MAC Costa Riche which has been  my go to warm brown eyeliner for years. One of my favorites of this entire Sarah Moon collection for sure. Witching hour (an iridescent charcoal) is perfect if you want that shimmery cooler smoky eye and something not too harsh like black but not too basic like normal grey.  These are long lasting and do not smudge and end up all over your eye at the end of the day. I would highly recommend them!

Wearing NARS Sarah Moon Numero 10 Eyelashes
How beautiful are these lashes?! It looks like Numero 9 is for a more natural look and Numero 10 is for a more dramatic look (but still natural). These will actually be my first false lashes I've ever tried! They do not include the glue, so I bought some Duo eyelash glue at Sephora and am ready to try them out.
Update: I'm wearing Numero 10 in the photo above. Some of my own lashes were actually longer than the false eyelashes, but you can see that they definitely added volume on the temporal side. I tried wearing Numero 9 but they didn't add length, volume or thickness to my lashes so I would recommend Numero 10 over 9. Both are very natural lashes though.

Left to Right: La Dame En Noir (a deep burgundy), Never Tamed (a geranium), Flon Flons (a pink red) (flash on)
Absolutely LOVING these nail polishes! Any shade of red  is my kind of nail polish shade. The dark burgundy shade (La Dame En Noir) is perfect for Fall. It did take three coats to get an even amount of color but it's truly a beautiful shade. Never Tamed and Flon Flons were full coverage in one coat though! After you pop off the square cap, there's a circular cap that actually screws open/closed. Smart packaging!

Who else is loving this new Sarah Moon Color Collection?!

Kristin, this is such a stunning collection! Love how detailed your review is, covering every aspect of each item and addressing any questions one might have. It's hard to pick a favorite, but the blushes, lipstick and nailpolishes have got my attention. I also like how natural and wearable the eyelashes are. Stunning collection and great review!
