I received these three shades from Influenster for review purposes a couple months ago. First off, I LOVE this formula. It's so creamy, moisturizing, pigmented and also long-wearing. It's hard to find a lipstick with all those qualities. Anyone that knows me knows that I have to have some type of lip balm on my lips at all time because I can't stand the feel of dry lips. So wearing lipstick for me hasn't always been easy. But with these lipsticks I can truly say that my lips feel moisturized...
My favorite shade out of this entire collection is Pepper. I had been looking for the perfect "dusty rose" lipstick and never thought I would find one I was 100% about (I'm so picky!) but this shade does it all. I receive so many compliments when I wear Pepper and it's just my go-to everyday lipstick shade.
Since I loved the formula so much, I decided to try more so I bought Rhubarb and Sake. Sidenote: One thing you'll learn about me is that most of the lipsticks in my collection are similar shades. I love the berry and dusty rose shades. I do love a good red lipstick but honestly rarely wear them. And I'm NOT a nude (as in concealer color nude) lipstick gal. I have blonde hair and blue eyes with a light-medium skin tone and usually look 'washed out' when I have zero color on my lips, especially when I make them lighter. My lips do have a natural pink pigment so that can be tricky when expecting shades to be one color then on my lips they look another. Another thing is that I don't like the 'barbie pink' or 'lavender' shades on myself. I always have to be careful with 'dusty mauve' shades because sometimes the cool lavender tones stand out more than I want and it completely changes the look on me therefore I return it! So most of the lipsticks you'll see me wear and review on my blog will be berries and dusty roses.
Anyways, out of all the Amuse Bouche collection I've tried, Pepper is still my #1. I would say Rhubarb is my #2 and more for night-time wear. Rhubarb is similar to my all-time favorite night-time lipstick, MAC Amorous, but Rhubarb is a little darker and a tiny bit more brown. Sake ended up being one of those shades that was a little too cool toned lavender on my lips so I ended up returning it :(. Beetroot would be my #3 and Gazpacho would be #4.
The Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipstick Collection can be purchased at Sephora for $26 each. I've already recommended these lipsticks to my friends and family and they truly do not disappoint! Everyone loves them! Which shades are your favorite?
PS- If you haven't signed up for Influenster yet, YOU SHOULD!! This was one of my first 'vox boxes' I received after signing up and couldn't be more thrilled. It's free and you get new products sent to you to review every month to couple months. Sometimes I hit the jackpot like this time and some months I don't receive anything. I have no idea how they determine who gets what, but I know it does help to connect all your social media sites and follow their rules for reviewing. If you want to sign up, use my referral link and let me know what you think!
